Golden Girls actress to
Hot in Cleveland, which is expected to premiere in June. She'll be playing the snarky yet adorable Elka Ostrovsky, who works as a property caretaker of the home being rented by three L.A. women of a certain age.
"The talented Betty White is the finishing touch to this outstanding sitcom ensemble," TV Land president Larry W. Jones said in a statement. Hot in Cleveland, which revolves around three best friends whose lives are unexpectedly changed when their plane lands in Cleveland instead of Paris, and find themselves under the roof of White's quirky character.
Meanwhile, fans can catch Betty White as she makes an appearance on
Saturday Night Live on May 8 in a Women of Comedy-themed special, featuring Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Rachel Dratch, Maya Rudolph, and Ana Gasteyer. Also in the same month, the former
Golden Girls actress will be gracing the season finale of
The Middle.
