Last month, rumors have surfaced that some major off-cam drama is brewing inside the Playboy Mansion, where
Hugh Hefner's number 1 girlfriend,
Holly Madison, is reportedly enraging the rest of the stars of
The Girls Next Door by controlling the manor with an iron fist. This led to speculations of the program's looming ending and the departure of
Kendra Wilkinson, who allegedly isn't getting along with Madison the most.
Now, the stars of
The Girls Next Door break their silence by addressing the controversy, which will hopefully clear the air once and for all.
“I am so sick of all the dumb rumors going around. The stories about Kendra and I not getting along are so stale. I think we get along better than ever. We just don't do as many things together outside the Mansion,” Madison wrote on her My Space blog.
Madison, who moved into the mansion and became one of Hefner's official girlfriends in August 2001, after more than a year of visiting the mansion, also denied allegations of being envious of her
Girls Next Door co-star.
“The latest
Page 6 story is especially dumb. Saying I am jealous of Kendra because she has an ‘empire' and I'm just ‘sitting around with Hef'? What ‘empire'? I guess because I have a real full-time job aside from
The Girls Next Door…excuse me for having a brain and having something REAL going on in my life as opposed to following in the footsteps of the socialite-of-the-week… means I am ‘sitting around' doing nothing. I guess having people announce clothing lines and workout products that never come to fruition means you are doing something,” she said.
Wilkinson, who also broke her silence on her MySpace blog, also insisted that she is not fighting with Madison. However, she was disappointed that the people she lived with believed the gossip.
“I feel like its me against the world right now,” Wilkinson wrote on her My Space blog. “I never said I was leaving… I am a very strong person but I get really sad when people and people I live with believe rumors [and] gossip… I thought things up here at the mansion were better than ever [and] thought people were getting along great! Just [because] we aren't always together doesn't mean we [are] at war!! I'm kinda sad right now.”
