Two weeks ago, we reported on how
The Girls Next Door are leading the search for the next Playmate to grace
Playboy's 55th anniversary edition. This week, we bring the latest on that search, featuring an all-new collaboration that should make the hunt even more scintillating.
Playboy has made it easier for women from even the smallest and most far-flung of American towns to sign up in the special anniversary Playmate casting call. Anyone interested but unable to go to any of the stops where the anniversary casting calls are held may now send in their entries via the YouTube contest channel.
According to
Playboy, this effort is an “unprecedented nationwide online search” in celebration of its 55th year. Playmate hopefuls need only to upload a video clip of themselves in various
Playboy-fitting poses and activities onto the YouTube contest channel. Scouts for the magazine can then look them over from the comforts of their Chicago and Los Angeles offices.
“If you think you have what it takes to become part of the
Playboy family - and possibly the 55th anniversary Playmate - then the YouTube talent search is the perfect opportunity to get discovered, especially if you can't make it to one of our casting calls,”
The Girls Next Door's
Holly Madison said in a press release.
“Just post a short video on YouTube that highlights your best assets - your figure, your face, your sense of humor, and especially your fantastic personality,” she adds. “The women with the most impressive videos will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the
Playboy Mansion and participate in a Playmate test-shoot with me!”
Aside from
The Girls Next Door's lead in looking for
Playboy's 55th anniversary Playmate, we also reported earlier last month that
Kendra Wilkinson was also spearheading the campaign to find the "Girls of Olive Garden" for the magazine.
