Now that Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson have ended their run on The Girls Next Door, the spotlight has been turned to the show's new stars, Karissa and Kristina ShannonHugh Hefner's new girlfriends, who are also twins, are making waves in the media as they grace various social gathering and Playboy events.  Unfortunately, their latest charity event didn't quite work in their favor.

After being encouraged by Jayde Nicole, 2008's “Playmate of the Year,” to donate their hair to "Lengths for Love" to raise money for cancer awareness, Hefner's twins jumped at the chance to help.  However, their hair has been deemed “too over-processed” to be donated for charity.

Evidently, hair that has been bleached can't be used to make wigs.  And this pretty much rules out more than half of the Playboy population, including the twins.

"The twins can't actually donate their hair, the hair used has to be healthy enough to be retreated and not too over-processed," Nicole told Tarts. "So we're doing lots of fundraisers and events as well that everyone [including her PMOY predecessor Sara Jean Underwood, Hef's former flame Holly Madison and his current number one Crystal Harris] can be involved with.  Hef is supporting it too; he's a huge fan of charities."

Meanwhile, Nicole reveals that Hefner also plans to raise more funds for the cause by holding parties at the infamous Playboy mansion, where the reality series The Girls Next Door is being filmed.  She also reveals that her boyfriend Brody Jenner also wanted to play a big part in "Lengths For Love" but she decided that that might not be such a good idea.

"Brody wanted to grow his hair long but I had to tell him that wasn't such a good idea and that there was far more beneficial things he could do," she explained.
