For a little entertainment this weekend, Hugh Hefner and his favorite girls from The Girls Next Door discussed who their favorite superheroes were.  The brains behind Playboy told his audiences that he's definitely a fan of one caped crusader: Batman.  Fans of the publication should take note that Hefner is one movie buff, so let's at least respect the man's opinion.

Apparently, Hefner was a fan of comic books during his early years.  This fascination obviously evolved (or matured, more like).  But getting back to the mogul's childhood, it was Hefner's brother who introduced him to several characters of the comics universe – particularly Superman.  According to the Playboy founder, he always held Batman to a high regard until he got to know the Man of Steel.

On the video below, Hefner and some of the Playmates answer the question of who their favorite superhero is.  Sorry to break it to hardcore comics fans, but many of the ladies are only familiar with the phenomenal Iron Man because of Robert Downey Jr.  Then again, we can't expect them to blurt out The Punisher or Dr. Strange as their answers. Although, one Playmate did mention He-Man and She-Ra, so kudos to her.




For those who didn't know, Hugh Hefner's mansion features an entire room of movie memorabilia.  His extensive collection just goes to show how much the film industry has burrowed its way into almost everything these days.  In addition to that, Hefner hosts a movie-viewing night every week, and is able to watch films before they're even out.  No wonder the Playmates like staying with him.
