The Girls Next Door must think Playboy mogul
Hugh Hefner can get anything he wants. At 82, he doesn't just have one girlfriend, but three! But that's aside the point, really. Place yourself in the shoes of one of the three girls, instead. Sharing your boyfriend with two other beautiful girls isn't obviously an easy job. Yet, the three girls in the E! reality series—
Kendra Wilkinson,
Holly Madison and
Bridget Marquardt—have been at it for the past five years, and still manage to do so.
So what makes it work? According to Kendra herself, it's the time they spend apart that keeps them together. “We are three very different people—we're doing very different things with our lives and we don't step on each other's toes,” she told Fox News. “If we all wanted the same thing it wouldn't have worked, because that's where all the drama would've started, but we're like the Spice Girls—I'm the sporty one. We are on different roads and they don't intersect. We don't spend time together every day. Girls can't do just that.”
Kendra also revealed how living in the Playboy Mansion has changed her perspective in life. “I was only 18 when I first moved in and I've grown up so much,” she admitted. “I've been thinking a lot about marriage and kids. I don't care about going crazy and partying anymore. I'm focusing on the real life things, my future. That's who I am now.”
The aspiring sports announcer is appearing with the other three girls in the fifth season of
The Girls Next Door. Set for an October premiere, the new batch of episodes will feature their trips to New York, the Mardi Gras at New Orleans, and their winter holiday spent snowboarding at the Aspens, among otherss. And you can expect to see Kendra's further toned body—a thing that the reality star attributes herself to doing small exercises and drinking, in her own words, “lots and lots of carrot juice.”
