Having his memoir,
Mr. Playboy, recently released,
Hugh Hefner is getting ready to watch the skeletons in his closet break loose. Practically every significant moment of his life was revealed in that book, including the times he's had with
The Girls Next Door. Even so, he's not exactly too eager in hearing his former ladies speak up about him as well.
Last night, the Playboy mogul was at a book signing, which took place at Barnes & Noble in L.A.'s Grove Mall. “I'm OK with them voicing their thoughts and memories,” Hefner admitted. He continued by saying, “But truthfully, it would depend on what was in there. We had a lot of interesting times.”
Of course, he could be referring to his breakups with
Holly Madison,
Kendra Wilkinson and
Bridget Marquardt. Right now, these are the issues buzzing around the prominent magazine publisher and he hasn't really faced them full-on as of yet. Unfortunately,
Mr. Playboy doesn't dish out any information regarding those stories too. The memoir went to press before Hefner's relationships began to come undone.
The author of
Mr. Playboy, Steven Watts, also had quite a lot to say about the publication. He was even excited about updates in future printings of the book. “There's going to be a paperback coming out,” he divulged.
Hefner is surely one busy man, as he attended the book signing with his new girlfriends Crystal Harris and the twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon. The other stars of
The Girls Next Door were nowhere in sight. Though Hef's new ladies refused to comment, they seemed particularly happy about the occasion.
One of Hefner's fans waiting in line to meet him was 11-year-old Daniel Perez from Ventura, California. Imagine that, a prepubescent boy who looks up to the Playboy tycoon. “Hugh Hefner's like my idol,” said the fan. “He's rich and famous, and he has, like, all these pretty girls.” It's surely another one event for the Hefner history books.
With that, Hef's next memoir might even include these following words: “With my life, I think they'd have to do a new volume every year.”
