Don't feel too bad for Hugh Hefner about the exodus of his original trio of blonde beauties: the Playboy mogul has already found three equally blonde replacements. Shortly after Hef's number one girl Holly Madison split up with him in October of 2008, "Puffin" invited the 19-year-old Shannon twins (Karissa and Kristina) to be his new lady loves. As far as we know, Hef had been a happy two-woman man since then, but it turns out that three really is Hef's lucky number. Early this week, news broke that Hef has a new official third girlfriend, 22-year-old Crystal Harris.

Harris introduced herself as Hef's latest live-in girlfriend over the holiday's on E!'s The Girls Next Door message boards. Harris told fans, "Hef gave me permission to fill people in on the new updates as a voice from the mansion." While the blonde beauty had been previously photographed with the Playboy mogul, she had not been officially introduced to the public as a girlfriend.
So just who is Crystal Harris? According to our research, Harris is a San Diego University psychology student. While she has yet to pose in a pictorial for her man's magazine, she has been featured topless and semi-nude on Playboy.com as a Co-ed of the Week. She was first spotted with Hef in October, shortly after his breakup with Holly Madison, but has managed to keep a low profile in comparison to the often reported on Shannon twins.

Harris may have been able to keep such a low profile because she is by all reports a good girl. While the Shannon twins both have criminal records--they were arrested for felony aggravated assault in January 2008 and Karissa was arrested for misdemeanor battery charges in November 2007--Harris is a self-described animal lover and is involved with animal rights group PETA. Harris' Myspace is filled with cute pictures of animals, Disney characters, inspirational quotes, and lots of pink. On her Myspace she lists her interests as: "the rain, the seasons, fast cars, good food, volunteering, great company, caring and honest people, the ocean and animals." Harris also says she's "a good girl, for the most part." We imagine she included that "for the most part" to cover the fact that she's now dating a man 50 years her senior, who has two other girlfriends. In fact, if you add up all of Hef's current girlfriends ages, he'd still have 20 years on the total sum.

The real question is whether Hef will stay with just three girlfriends or if he will add a few more young ladies to his harem. According to Harris, "there are a couple (new girls) that we have interest in. ... As for now, it is just us three." So for now, as it was in years before, it's just Hef and his trio of blondes--the names may have changed, but the story stays the same.
