Last week, we mentioned that
Holly Madison announced via her MySpace page that she and her two fellow
Girls Next Door,
Kendra Wilkinson and
Bridget Marquardt, were headed to Vegas for The World's Biggest Bachelorette Party. True enough,
The Girls Next Door were there Friday, even inviting Donovan Lewis and Marty Amiott of the Australian male revue, Thunder from Down Under.
Also, another reminder that Playboy founder
Hugh Hefner will be celebrating his 82nd birthday on Saturday, April 5 with none other than his
Girls Next Door. The party kicks off when doors open at the Playboy Club at 8pm, after which Hef and the girls head over to Moon Nightclub around 10:30pm. Speaking of Hef, the birthday boy has just selected this year's Miss May to grace the pages of
Playboy Magazine, and – she happens to love
The Girls Next Door.
"It's crazy,” Amanda Hermann, the new Miss May told the Evansville Courier & Press. “I still have to pinch myself. I never had any realistic dreams of meeting Hef and being at the mansion. I don't think there's the [Playmate] stigma so much anymore. That show has so many fans. It's a good time to be a Playmate."
Hermann, a former dental assistant and now an aspiring model/actress, is fresh from a grueling four-day shoot for her
Playboy spread out next month.
"It wasn't easy," the latest Playmate admitted about the photo shoot held in Los Angeles. "They had us on location at a rundown racetrack. It was shot in freezing 40-degree rain."
Hermann took home $25,000 for appearing in the coming
Playboy issue and stands to earn even more for appearances the magazine will set up for her in Las Vegas and other locations. Hermann landed the Miss May title after the producer of the upcoming
American Summer flick saw her modeling portfolio. He then cast her in a small role for his movie and during filming, an actress with Playboy experience encouraged Hermann to be a Playmate.
