Paris Hilton, star of
The Simple Life, isn’t a free woman yet, but has evidently caught the interest of
Hugh Hefner, Playboy icon and star of
The Girls Next Door.
According to Access Hollywood, Hefner welcomes the idea of Hilton posing for Playboy once she is released from jail. "Well, that's a standing offer," he has revealed. "I think the problem quite frankly is mama. Mama doesn't want her to pose."
Although Hefner hinted that her mother Kathy Hilton is responsible for the 26-year old socialite’s absence from the Playboy pages, he doesn’t think that the heiress is to blame for the mess she is currently in. "I think to some extent [Paris] lives in a celebrity bubble," he has explained. "I don't even think she was aware of the fact she was breaking the law. I think it's sad."
As for Hefner’s girlfriends on
The Girls Next Door,
Holly Madison,
Bridget Marquardt, and
Kendra Wilkinson, the girls can easily relate to Hefner’s reasoning as they explained that they were not aware that they were breaking the law a couple of days ago when they were promoting the show in Monte Carlo.
"We went exploring, you know, and we saw McDonalds and, like, everything just led to another," Kendra explained. "And we followed the yellow brick road, and we wound up at the palace. And then all of a sudden..."
"We were in trouble," Bridget has said, finishing Wilkinson's sentence.
Hefner’s girls were apprehended at the police station for trespassing on royal grounds. But their disappointments faded when they were able to meet the Prince of Monaco a couple of days after their detention. "We got to meet the prince and he was very nice," Kendra has said. "We just told [him] that we were kind of in trouble in front of his house and he was like, 'really?'"
Whether or not the Prince has been faking his ignorance, the controversy came to an end when Hefner revealed, “The Prince has visited the Playboy mansion.”
