For several weeks now, rumors have been circulating that there's some kind of tension brewing inside the Playboy Mansion and it has something to do with
Holly Madison,
Hugh Hefner's number 1 girlfriend, who has allegedly enraged the rest of the stars of
The Girls Next Door by ruling the manor with an iron fist.
In interview with FOXnews.com, Hefner, the 82-year-old sex icon, gives his take on the brewing drama on
The Girls Next Door.
"Girls will be girls, and there are moments where they will disagree," Hugh Hefner admitted. "The amazing thing, quite frankly, is that we're all together after six years."
In the same interview, Hefner has also shed light on how he pursued his
Playboy empire despite the fact that his entire family was against it.
"I've pursued my own personal dreams from the very beginning. I'm a romantic and always have been that way. I dreamed impossible dreams when I was a kid," Hefner said. "I was raised in a very typical Midwestern Methodist home with a lot of repression. There weren't a lot of hugs and kisses in my home, and I charted my own course."
And while Hefner built
Playboy on hedonism and heterosexuality, he still reveres the recent movement in California that allows gay couples to legally wed.
"I'm thrilled.
Playboy has been [a] proponent of free choice, and that includes homosexual freedom as well. We have to change the laws related to all of that," he added.
Meanwhile, fans can expect
The Girls Next Door, which also stars Hefner's other girlfriends
Bridget Marquardt, and
Kendra Wilkinson, for a fifth season this October. Season 5 will reportedly consist of 20 installments, with the first four to be packaged with the season 4 DVD set. By doing so, both seasons 4 and 5 will have a total of 16 episodes in their respective sets.
