Having multiple girlfriends at one time is the ultimate fantasy for some men, but
Playboy publisher and
The Girls Next Door creator
Hugh Hefner seems like he's ready to give it all up for just one.
In the October issue of
Details magazine, Hefner reiterated that among the three blonde girlfriends he is living with,
Holly Madison is the one who has most captured his heart. "I love Holly the most. Five or six years ago, she was simply one of seven girlfriends, but... I fell deeply in love with her," Hefner said.
The 81-year-old even said that his relationship with Holly Madison is the one that “will last the rest of my life,” though this may not come as a surprise to many since reports of an impending marriage between the two surfaced earlier this year.
In March, the
New York Post's
Page Six reported that Hefner was planning on tying the knot with Madison before the end of this year. The tabloid also said that the wedding would be featured in
The Girls Next Door. Although Hefner later denied the reports, he admitted that he wanted to pursue a monogamous relationship with Madison.
Being Hefner's favorite should make Madison very happy, as the 27-year-old Playboy Playmate has proclaimed Hefner as the love of her life. She even told a reporter during the Monte Carlo Festival that she wants “to have kids with Hef in the next year or so and when that happens I just want it to be me and him.”
Of his other girlfriends,
Bridget Marquardt and
Kendra Wilkinson, Hefner told
Details magazine that neither of them are the jealous type.
“They don't [get jealous]. But whether it's three girlfriends or seven, it's easier than one wife. They're not going to give you a hard time, because you always have an alternative,” Hefner said. “My second marriage, from 1989, lasted 10 years, and we had two children. When it ended I met a young actress name Brande Roderick, and about three weeks later a pair of twins, Sandy and Mandy Bentley. It was an overreaction to a difficult marriage.”
The Girls Next Door has been renewed for a fourth season.
