FOX fans have plenty of reasons to celebrate as the network has officially renewed four of its shows for the 2013-2014 TV season. Freshman drama The Following and Tuesday night comedies New Girl, Raising Hope and The Mindy Project have all been renewed.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

The Following, the serial killer drama starring Kevin Bacon, has been a solid performer on Monday nights and will be back for season 2. It will once again be a shortened, 15-epiosode season, and it seems likely that it will be held until mid-season again, like FOX used to do with 24.

As for the Tuesday night comedies, FOX is clearly very supporting of its current crop of shows (minus the late Ben and Kate). The Mindy Project isn't getting huge ratings, but getting renewed for season 2 is a great sign that FOX supports it. New Girl was renewed for its third season and Raising Hope will be back for season 4.

FOX will highlight its devotion to these comedies when they all air after upcoming American Idol results shows on Thursday nights. The one-hour Raising Hope season 3 finale airs Thursday, March 28 at 9pm while new episodes of New Girl and The Mindy Project will air in that time slot on April 4.

These four shows join FOX's previous pick-ups for Bones, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers and The X Factor. Glee is almost definitely coming back for another year, so that really only leaves Touch and The Cleveland Show as the network's bubble shows.

The success of The Following and The Mindy Project helps to offset the fact that the other new shows of this season, The Mob Doctor and Ben and Kate, were cancelled.

These renewals also help give hope to my early prediction that The Following's season 2 premiere could land the coveted post-Super Bowl time slot on FOX next year.
