[Video] First Look at CW's New Fall 2014 Dramas: 'The Flash' and 'Jane the Virgin'

The CW announced their new 2014-15 schedule today, including four new dramas. The Flash and Jane the Virgin will premiere in the fall, while The Messengers and iZombie will premiere at mid-season.

The Flash (Tuesdays at 8pm)

Barry Allen has spent his life investigating his mother's murder, which his father was wrongly convicted of committing. Suddenly an orphan at 11 years old, he was taken in by Detective Joe West. Barry's a brilliant scientist and CSI investigator when a freak accident with the unveiling of the STAR Labs particle accelator puts him into a coma for 9 months. When he wakes up, he's gained the power of speed. Super speed. He uses this power to help the incident as The Flash.

The series stars Grant Gustin (Glee, Arrow) as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton (The Game) as Iris West, Rick Cosnett (The Vampire Diaries) as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker (Necessary Roughness, Justified) as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes (Once on Broadway ) as Cisco Ramon, with Tom Cavanagh (Ed) as Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order) as Detective West.

Jane the Virgin (Mondays at 8pm)

Jane Villanueva grew up watching telenovelas with her mother and grandmother, which left her will a skewed view of romance. She didn't want to become an unwed mother at 16 like her own mother, so she decided to save herself for marriage. At 23, she's engaged to Michael, a hard-working detective when she's accidentally artifically inseminated during a routine doctor's appointment. She has to decide what to do. The situation is complicated when she finds out the father is former playboy, Rafael, who she had a summer crush on.


The series stars Gina Rodriguez (Filly Brown, The Bold and the Beautiful) as Jane, Justin Baldoni (Single Ladies, The Bold and the Beautiful) as Rafael, Brett Dier (Ravenswood) as Michael, Andrea Navedo (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Golden Boy) as Xiomara, Yael Grobglas (Reign) as Petra, Ivonne Coll (Switched at Birth, The Bold and the Beautiful) as Alba and Jaime Camil (Devious Maids) as Rogelio.
