Vin Diesel Directing 'Fast & Furious' Prequel
Vin Diesel Directing 'Fast & Furious' Prequel
The Fast and the Furious franchise is something that I know I shouldn't love, but I just can't help myself.  The epic trilogy is completely mindless and concerned with nothing aside from fast cars and hot women, but that's part of its hypnotic charm.  We all need our guilty pleasures, and The Fast and the Furious is one of mine.  Tokyo Drift?  Not so much.

Due to my shameful love of the depth-impaired original film and its weirdly homoerotic first sequel, I'm extremely excited for the upcoming fourth installment, Fast & Furious, which re-teams stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.  Even with Tokyo Drift director Justin Lin at the helm, I smell a classic in the making.

ComingSoon.net recently announced that Vin Diesel will be directing a 20-minute prequel to Fast & Furious.  It's meant to act as a bridge between the first film and the fourth film, and will star Diesel, Rodriguez, and Tokyo Drift star Sung Kang.  There's no word yet on where or when this prequel will be released, but there should be news prior to the June 5 release date of Fast & Furious.
