The Fashion Show: Recap: Episode 4 "The Shoe Must Go On"
Last week on The Fashion Show, Markus was kicked off due to his lackluster sewing skills. Andrew's beautiful coat managed to impress the judges but word on the street is that his creativity lacks. Will accusations about his copycat features come to fruition? I'm rooting for the "Panty-Christ" but I guess we'll have to watch The Fashion Show to find out.

From Harper Bazaar magazine, Laura Brown is back to explain the mini-challenge. Elizabeth Olsen comes in to explain that they will be using eco-friendly materials to create a shoe design. Reco wants to make a short boot. Keith wants to make a floral shoe. Daniella wanted to make a pump but is messing it up. Reco notices that Andrew's shoes are starting to look like his design with the fringes.

Lidia's team presents. Angel's shoe is too dramatic. Lidia's is nice. They don't like Merlin's bows. Reco's team. Johnny scores with the wedge. Reco loses out with Halloween colors. Daniella's team: Keith scores with floral. Anna scores with a designer shoe. Andrew's look is copied. Reco's team ends up winning the mini-challenge with Johnny R. having the best design. Evidently, no one wins a prize, which is weird. Why did they just have that challenge?

The challenge this week needs to be inspired by a single pair of shoes in Bergdorf Goodman downtown. Angel didn't pick her shoes in time so Isaac Mizrahi picks some red, white and blue ones for her. Kelly Rowland and Isaac Mizrahi then announce that they will be competing as individuals. Then they have this weird fight about who has the last word. Alright, that was strange.

Angel works on her inspiration for the shoes she didn't pick. Daniella is trying to sneak a peek at Andrew's work but he claims he doesn't care. Keith is going to go for a floral dress, which could be risky. Finally, Anna and Daniella notice that Andrew's pleating detail on his dress look like the same pleats Anna did on her skirt a few weeks ago. The designers, for the most part, are really supportive of each other. It's probably all fake, but it's still surprising. They're obviously out to get Andrew this week and they all obviously think Merlin's crazy.

Kelly Rowland and Isaac Mizrahi come in to check on the contestants. They suggest Reco make a jacket. Isaac suggests Andrew use some color. Reco calls the design "substitute school teacher." Kelly Rowland seems confused by Lidia. She just smiles, says thanks, and walks away. Next, she awkwardly touches Merlin's dress and he looks really uncomfortable. When they walk out, Kelly says she's excited to see Lidia's. Maybe she was shocked into silence. Reco starts yelling that he's going to win.

Last week's audience winner was: Lidia!

Only two hours left and all the designers are in panic mode. Angel says she's like "the woman in the sweat shop." Is that appropriate? Reco calls Daniella's dress "simple" and she gets really angry. Reco finishes early... again. I tweeted and then Angel tweeted back saying "I was sweating - - did you see?" That's funny. Hi Angel, glad to know you're following!

Kieth's floral worked out. Andrew's dress actually doesn't look much like Anna's previously. Haven's outfit looks great. I'm frightened by Merlin's outfit. Again. Johnny's outfit looks oddly proportioned. Anna's claims her top was too short. James-Paul has a cute look but it is a little bit out there. Lidia's skirt looks tight but intricate. Daniella's looks dominatrix. Isaac says that he thinks the shoes have nothing to do with the dress but it somehow works. Angel's design looks beautiful. Reco's design is very Posh Spice. Kelly loves it.

Elimination time! Isaac asks if the contestants had fun and then tells them it showed. This was the best fashion show yet. The top three looks were Angel, Daniella, and Reco. 90% thought Reco's design was very fashion forward. They point out that the hat was a perfect addition. Daniella tells the judges that she wanted to be adventurous. Isaac loves the length and Fern really sees the inspiration. Angels dress is called "a great summer Hamptons' dress." Angel explains that it's actually two shirts in one, which is awesome. Kelly announces that Reco has won this week's challenge. After celebrating, he says "cool beans."

Andrew and Lidia are in the bottom two. Andrew explains that he was thinking about salability. Isaac and George Malkemus, the guest judge, get into an argument. Fern wants Andrew to be more inspired by the shoe. She explains that we're in a season of color and neither of them have color. Lidia claimed she needed more time. Isaac says an "I told you so." Then Lidia reveals that she quit her job to pursue her dream. Pity card. Solid. The judges point out that Lidia could have saved her design but let it go down the runway anyways. Andrew made a safe choice and bored us to tears. Lidia made a bold choice and the results were disastrous. Andrew Christian has been eliminated. The need to pick a tagline. I count three.

Next week on The Fashion Show, the designers will be working with real women, not models. Isaac will call the designers "sizest" which is hilarious.
