-Action The Dresden Files is a show loosely based on the mystery fantasy book series by Jim Butcher. Executive producer is the famed Nicholas Cage. The show is based on the main character Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden who is a real Wizard in present-day Chicago. The premise is that everything is real – magic, sorcery, vampires, demons, werewolves, faeries, and other dark forces. Most, if not all, of the public do not believe these forces are real and have no idea that these forces are constantly working against them. Thus, Harry gets no real public recognition for the great work he does in fighting against these forces. Fortunately, the Chicago PD Special Investigations Unit hired Mr. Dresden to solve cases involving the dark forces.

Paul Blackthorne was born on March 5, 1969. He got his first break when he appeared in a television commercial in the UK as The Grim Reaper for Virgin Atlantic. This was followed by several radio commercials and eventually a spot in the movie industry. He starred in movies such as Lagaan, Mindcrime and Four Corners of Suburbia. His other television credits included Medium , 24 , ER , Peak Practice and Monk . Ultimately, he leads the series The Dresden Files as Harry Dresden.

Harry Dresden is a private eye who resides in Chicago. He also has supernatural powers which make him the only professional wizard in the city. His mother, also a powerful wizard, died while giving birth to him. He was raised by his father, a stage magician, until his father died when he was six years old. Moreover, Harry lacks control of his powers but he is considered to be one of the strongest wizards when it comes to pure magical strengths.
