The Dead Zone

-Action Network The Dead Zone centers around Johnny Smith, who was leading a picture perfect life as a teacher in a small town before a car accident leaves him in a coma which he wakes up from six years later. In the six years since, his "perfect" life has been shattered as his mother has passed away and his wife has since remarried and is raising his son. In addition, the "dead zone" areas of his brain have been lit up with new activities that compensate for the damage suffered during the automobile accident. He now possesses psychic abilities which he uses to help solve crimes while attempting to put his life back together. The Dead Zone airs on USA Network.

Actor Anthony Michael Hall, whose full name is Michael Anthony Thomas Charles Hall, was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 14, 1968. Hall is also a producer and a director. He gained star status by starring in numerous teen-oriented films during the 80s, like The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. He took in other diverse roles so that he could avoid becoming stereotyped with his previous geek portrayals, and starred in movies such as Edward Scissorhands and Six Degrees of Separation.

Johnny Smith is played by Anthony Michael Hall on USA Network's science fiction and suspense series The Dead Zone. Johnny is a retired schoolteacher who developed psychic abilities after a car accident. His talents transformed from intuition to visions after he woke up from his coma.
