After The Closer concluded its 10-week summer season last September, the crime drama resumes airing its five-week winter season beginning tonight at 9/8c on TNT.  As usual, the show will continue with its “power” theme which finds Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) facing challenges coming from the L.A. City Council and dealing with her looming wedding to FBI Agent fiancé Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney).

Last time we saw The Closer, Detective Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) had been shot three times while saving the life of Det. Lt. Provenza (G. W. Bailey) as they tried to capture a killer.  The episode wrapped up as Det. Sanchez was airlifted to a hospital in Brenda's arms.

“Good Faith,” the 11th installment of the fourth season, sheds light of fate of Det. Sanchez, while Brenda and her troops must deal with a new string of cases.  For their first case this season, Brenda and her team will get involved in a seemingly simple case of suicide when they are called in by the medical examiner, Dr. Morales, to investigate what he believes is actually a homicide.  As the team explores the case, they soon find out that the victim is making an effort to straighten out his life when an unexpected person turned against him.

As for Brenda's personal life, it's get complicated once again.  This time, her parents are back in town staying with Fritz for a few days on their way to a Hawaiian cruise but tensions arise when they start pushing for a wedding date.

Also returning this season are David Gabriel (Corey Reynolds), Russell Taylor (Robert Gossett), Andy Flynn (Tony Denison), Michael Tao (Michael Paul Chan), Irene Daniels (Gina Ravera), and Buzz Watson (Phillip P. Keene).

Don't forget to catch Brenda, all dressed in white, in tonight's episode of The Closer.
