Born on May 10, 1975 in Wisconsin, Andrea Anders studied at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and earned her masters degree in fine arts from Rutgers University. She started her career in the entertainment industry as an understudy for Mary Louise Parker in the Broadway production of
Proof. Eventually, she worked in productions such as
New Doors, On the Jump, New World Rhapsody and
Cold/Tender. Her other acting credits included
Joey, Spellbound,
Law & Order,
One Life to Live,
The Guiding Light and
The Stepford Wives.
