Despite initial setbacks, Walden Media is getting ready to wheel out the third film in its successful The Chronicles of Narnia
series. 20th Century Fox is set to co-finance the film, after Walt Disney Pictures pulled out of the partnership.
Development for The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader
was put in limbo after Disney dropped out of the production, because of the founding of Fox Walden, a marketing and distribution label, and its commitment to develop the project. Currently, the two studios are working out issues regarding budgets and scripts, but once these are settled, it is expected that the film will begin shooting in the summer, for a release in the 2010 holiday season.
