This is NOT an April Fool's Joke, though it sounds like it. FOX has
ordered a new dating series for the summer that is basically a parody of
NBC's
The Voice, only it's called
The Choice. And the show itself sounds like a
Saturday Night Live sketch.
Four celebrity bachelors will sit in the spinning chairs during the Blind Round as women come out and talk about themselves. If the male celeb is interesting, he pulls his "love handle" and turns around. That's not a joke, that's actually what the show calls it.
Once each man has a team of three potential dates, the show commences to future rounds where the men cut one girl, then another until he has his date.
If that's not awesome enough, it's hosted by Cat Deeley, the goddess who hosts
So You Think You Can Dance. And I can only imagine the level of "celebrity" they get to be on the show.
