Are You There, MTV? It's Me, Chelsea
The hilarious Chelsea Handler is bringing the funny to MTV's Video Music Awards on Sept. 12 as host of the 2010 event. The stand-up comic, host of Chelsea Lately and author of the books My Horizontal Life, Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea, and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is the first woman to host the awards show since 1994 and only the third in the show's history (geez, MTV).

"If there's one awards show that I should be hosting, it's probably this one," Handler told The New York Times after MTV's Twitter announcement. "My personality probably wouldn't jell with the Emmys or the Golden Globes." [NYT]

From The Babysitter's Seduction to Seducing Brothers & Sisters' Saul
When some people see Stephen Collins, they can't help but think about his days as Rev. Camden on 7th Heaven. While I myself never missed an episode, I always equate Stephen Collins with the awesomeness that was the 1996 made-for-TV movie The Babysitter's Seduction with Kerri Russell. Our favorite TV reverend/babysitter-seducer is popping over to Brothers & Sisters for a bit to play a gay man named Charlie who helps Saul come to terms with his HIV-positive diagnosis. But don't count on wedding bells for these two, as Collins will be due back at his ABC show No Ordinary Family and has only signed on for the fourth episode of Brothers & Sisters. [TV Guide]

Breaking Bad Star to Appear on Lie to Me
Anna Gunn is using her time between Breaking Bad seasons wisely: She's scored a guest-star spot on the third episode of Lie to Me, scheduled to air Nov. 24. Gunn will play Internal Affairs detective Jenkins. [Ausiello]
