Is It Over For The Cheetah Girls?
A hard lesson for Disney fans to learn, one that is often hard to accept, is that eventually, their favorite stars have to grow up and move on. High School Musical’s Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens already promised that their most recent film, the third in the series, would absolutely be their last. Rumors are constantly swirling that Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus is ready to hang up her blonde wig and begin moving away from her squeaky clean Disney image. Today comes a report that Disney pop group The Cheetah Girls are ready to split and head off in separate directions.

The Cheetah Girls are currently out on a national tour in support of the soundtrack to their hit Disney Channel Original Movie, The Cheetah Girls: One World. Kiely Williams, who plays Aqua, recently told In Touch Weekly that this tour will be their last. “We always knew that this tour would probably be our last. We were excited about going out on a high note, it’s sad that this negative attention, Adrienne Bailon's pictures, put a damper on that.”

Bailon, who leaked semi-nude photos of herself onto the internet for attention from the press, caused the group to be pulled from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, not to mention backlash from fans.  She reportedly was offered a deal to pose for Playboy magazine soon after the pics hit the internet.  Bailon's bandmates have remained relatively quiet about the scandal and have stayed in support of her.
Just because this may be goodbye for The Cheetah Girls does not mean an end to the careers of Williams, Bailon, and Sabrina Bryan.  In an interview with BuddyTV, Kiely Williams said that each of them are pursuing their own individual projects.  Not only are each of them planning to launch a solo career but Sabrina Bryan is also a published author.
