Winsor Dewey Harmon III was born on November 22, 1963 in Crowley, Louisiana. He was educated at Texas A&M University with a football scholarship. Harmon first appeared on All My Children in 1994 and is best known for his portrayal of Thorne Forrester on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He also appeared on the series Baywatch Nights. He was married twice and has two children, Jade and Winsor.

He grew up desperate to prove himself to the people around him and had numerous failed attempts at a relationship with Macy Alexander. He also had a disastrous marriage with Brooke Logan whom he separated with later on. He finally found happiness with Darla Einstein and had a child with her, a girl named after Macy Alexander.
