NBC’s drama slate will look quite familiar next year as the network has renewed five hour-long shows for the 2015-2016 season. The Blacklist, Grimm, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Law and Order: SVU have all been picked up for next season.
This will be the third season for The Blacklist and Chicago P.D. and a fourth season for Chicago Fire. Grimm will enter season 5, and with it reach its milestone 100th episode. Law and Order: SVU is going into season 17, bringing it closer to the 20 seasons for the original Law and Order.

Still unknown are the fates of NBC’s new shows this season. Constantine, State of Affairs, The Mysteries of Laura and Marry Me are still on the bubble, as is About a Boy.

These pick-ups join a long list of early renewals for the 2015-2016 TV season, though most other networks renewed their freshman dramas first. On CBS, Scorpion, Madam Secretary and NCIS: New Orleans have all been renewed (in addition to The Big Bang Theory). On FOX, Gotham, Empire and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will all be back next year, as well as animated shows The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers. And on the CW, eight programs have already been renewed for next year, including freshman shows Jane the Virgin and The Flash.
