The Black Donnellys is a new television show created by Paul Haggis and by Robert Moresco. The show is based on the creator's hometown's local legends about the real life Black Donnellys and the related massacre.
The show The Black Donnellys centers on four young Irish-American brothers in New York's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood and their connection with organized crime. Generally, their association in felonious activities puts their life at risk but will do everything to protect and defend each other from other people who want to take their territory. The talented cast includes Billy Lush as Kevin Donnelly, Tom Guiry as Jimmy Donnelly, Jonathan Tucker as Tommy Donnelly, Michael Stahl-David as Sean Donnelly, and Olivia Wilde as Jenny Reilly. The Black Donnellys is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio in association with Blackfriars Bridge Productions. It will premier on March 5, 2007 and will air Mondays at 10 PM on NBC.
