Written and Created by Engvall, The Bill Engvall Show premiered in July 2007 and after a successful pilot run, was renewed for a 10-episode sophomore season, which just ended its run last month with an average of 2.3 million viewers. The show also ranked first on ad-supported cable in adults 18-49 for its 9pm timeslot.

In addition to Bill Engvall, who stars as family counselor Bill Pearson, the series also features Nancy Travis as his wife Susan, Tim Meadows as Bill's best friend Paul Dufrayne, Jennifer Lawrence as Bill's daughter Lauren, Graham Patrick Martin as Bill's son Trent, and Skyler Gisondo as Bill's son Bryan.

"There's something about this cast and this show that gives you a good feeling inside, which is probably why it's won the hearts of so many viewers," Michael Wright, senior vice president in charge of the Content Creation Group for TBS, TNT and TCM, said in a statement.  "Their dedication to continually growing the show is evident in the work, and we look forward to a new season of even funnier episodes."

On behalf of the cast and crew of the sitcom, Engvall reveals that they are all pleased about the third season order.

"I can't tell you how thrilled all of us on The Bill Engvall Show are that we'll be back for another season on TBS," Engvall said.  "Working so closely with people you care so dearly about and with a network that gives you such unbridled support is truly what makes this show work."
