The recently concluded fifth season of
The Biggest Loser brought us the first ever female winner to emerge as the
Biggest Loser,
Ali Vincent, who went past 19 other individuals vying for the prize of $250,000. However, Vincent and her mother
Betty Sue Birkland, who represented the Pink Team in the last season, aren’t the only ones who emerged successful in losing weight and renewing themselves to rediscover the fullness of a healthy lifestyle. In fact, other contestants such as the Kruger brothers
Mark and
Jay, and
Trent Patterson have lent their efforts to promote health and fitness to several communities around the United States. Like Ali Vincent, they, too have realized the importance of health, and would like to spread the word.
More recently, another pair from
The Biggest Loser 5 has enlisted their names for another health event to take place in Traverse City, Michigan.
The Traverse City Beach Bums are holding the annual Fitness Night at Wuerfel Park on May 22 and
Brittany Aberle and
Bernie Salazar, popularly known as the Blue team on
The Biggest Loser 5, will be attending the event. There will be an autograph signing from 5:45 to 6:30pm, wherein fans will get a chance to meet and greet the
Biggest Loser alums.
Later in the evening, the pair will be heading to the Wuerfel Park Astroturf GamePro XPE sports turf to address fans and promote fitness and health to visitors. They will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the 7:05pm game with the Midwest Sliders. Among the event’s sponsors are the Digestive Health Associates and Anytime Fitness.
While on the
Biggest Loser, Brittany Aberle lost over 50 pounds in 12 weeks while Bernie Salazar lost 88 pounds in 10 weeks. These accomplishments will serve as inspiration to not just the visitors of the event, but for fans and health enthusiasts as well.
Aside from the guest appearances of the
Biggest Loser alums, there will also be fun activities such as a raffle, which will give away a membership to Anytime Fitness in Traverse City.
Moreover, the Beach Bums will also officially open the Frontier League season on May 21st, beginning with a game at Wuerfel Park at 7:05pm with the Midwest Sliders. Wuerfel Park will also host the Frontier League All-Star festivities on July 15 and 16.
