When we last left
The Biggest Loser couples, the contestants had just voted off the white team,
Amanda and Neill. Before they leave for the night, Alison asks them to answer an important question: If they could vote out any other team, right now, who would it be? Their answer will affect everyone not just this week but perhaps for the entire game. After an hour long debate, everyone heads back to cast their votes.
Surprisingly, the orange team doesn't get one vote while the yellow team gets the most.
Paul and Kelly begin to say their goodbyes but Alison stops them, telling them they're not going anywhere. For this week the game has become, everyone against them. The yellow team will have to beat them in the challenge and the weigh in or immediately be sent home. Paul and Kelly choose Jillian as their exclusive trainer for the week and get to work.
Paul and Kelly take a walk to claim their prize for being The Biggest Losers the previous week. They chose game play, as they should. Paul and Kelly can take off 2 additional pounds at the weigh in of their choice. No doubt they'll choose this upcoming weigh in! Jillian and Bob find out what happened at the last elimination and Jillian feels a huge pressure to keep the yellow team in the game. In the gym, Jillian works them harder and pushes them farther than they have ever been pushed before. It is a brutal workout!
Tonight's challenge winners will receive letters from home and, of course, that's something every team wants. All the teams will race on balance beam across a pool to pick up pegs and get them on their game board. Whoever finishes first wins and gets those letters. Paul continues to go as often as he can while Kelly waits on the sideline for her turn in the game. Finally, at the end, Kelly gets her shot and the yellow team wins. They decide to forego their letters so that everyone else can have theirs. Following Jillian's advice, the yellow team remains diplomatic and tries to hold onto their bonds with their fellow contestants.
Alliances are being formed and dirty gameplay starts to enter
The Biggest Loser campus. The orange, blue, and purple teams decide to throw the weigh in so that they can save Kelly and Paul and get rid of the black team instead,
Mark and Jay. Bob tells the other teams that Paul and Kelly gave up the letters as pure strategy and nothing else. Regardless of the motivation, those letter put a smile on everyone's faces and bring tears to their eyes.
At the weigh in, Alison announces that the biggest losers of the week will receive immunity. That's going to throw a wrench in Kelly and Paul's plan. Here are the numbers from tonight's weigh in:
- Bette-Sue and Ali: 7 + 8 = 15 pound loss (3.43%)
- Roger and Trent: 12 + 13 = 25 pound loss (3.48%)
- Bernie and Brittany: 7 + 2 = 9 pound loss (2.00%)
- Jay and Mark: 10 + 14 = 24 pound loss (4.64%)
- Maggie and Jenn: 3 + 7 = 10 pound loss (2.19%)
- Dan and Jackie: 1 + 2 = 3 pound loss (0.62%)
Because the blue, purple, and orange teams threw the weigh in, the total percentage of the teams combined is 2.81%. Paul and Kelly needed to lose more than 12 pounds to be safe.
- Paul and Kelly: 9 + 8 = 17 pound loss (3.39%)
There is a big problem with the alliance's plan. Mark and Jay are the biggest losers of the week and have immunity. Therefore, throwing the challenge is in vain and the yellow team will have a very tough decision to make since the deal was that they would vote out the black team. After strategizing with their friends, Paul and Kelly head to elimination and vote out the pink team, Bette-Sue and Ali.
Tomorrow, Bette-Sue and Ali will speak to BuddyTV about the unfortunate turn of events that sent them home. Don't miss it!
