On this week's episode of
The Biggest Loser, Ryan, Nicole, and Bryan win a challenge that gives them each an individual vote at elimination. Neil dropped 33 pounds after gaining 17 the week before. Hollie, Kae, and
David lost the weigh in and the contestants decided to eliminate David aka Cowboy. Since leaving the show, he has lost over 100 pounds and says more is coming off! This week, he spoke to BuddyTV about his time on the show, Neil's game play, and making it home in time for his son's first birthday.
Before joining the season four cast of
The Biggest Loser, David had tried different ways to lose weight. The problem was, he said, that the weight just kept coming back. Coming on the show would prove to be something that would change his life. "I guess I came to the realization about how out of shape I was," he told BuddyTV. "No matter how much I missed my family, my wife, my kids, that was my time to get up every morning and say, 'I have today to work on David'."
David was a member of Kim Lyons' red team and she has been known to have blowouts with her contestants that she works with. She and David had gotten into a fight a few weeks early but he stayed loyal to her. "I think Kim and I had a great working relationship," he said. "Not to take anything away from Kim, I just think Bob has the picture figured out a little better than anybody else."
After Neil's shocking weight gain in elimination last week, David admitted to feeling disheartened by the way the blue team chose to play the game. "I think it's hard to trust that guy, even though what he was trying to do was sort of noble," he said of Neil. Next week's commercials promise that Neil will, once again, shock
The Biggest Loser campus but David says he has no information on that. "I was gone, I had no clue. I can't wait to see what happens!" he told BuddyTV.
As fate would have it, David was eliminated the day before his son's first birthday and was able to make it home in time to be there. Life after
The Biggest Loser has proven to be hectic for the former contestant. There aren't anymore trainers or 6-8 hour workdays in the gym. Finding time to balance work, family, and working out may be difficult but he seems to have found the routine that works for him. We can't wait to catch up with David, and the other contestants, at
The Biggest Loser finale and see how life after the game has treated them!
