This new endeavor by Michaels and the two online health information providers aim to not only promote health and fitness and increase awareness about certain issues when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle, but also to actually enable individuals from around the globe to lose weight in the most effective way ever—diet and exercise.
“Jillian is a beacon to those who are motivated to get into shape and live a healthier lifestyle,” eDiets.com President and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Rattner stated in the press release. “She has inspired millions of viewers with her tough love approach to getting fit and her high standards for healthy living and wellness are a natural fit with eDiets and Waterfront Medias' missions. This is a balanced partnership based on mutual philosophies and we're eager to grow it.”
The Jillian Michaels Meal Plan includes over 50 delicious, freshly prepared, no preservatives and trans-fat, chef-created meals. These servings consisting of breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack for each day will encompass the 7-day plan and will be sent to the consumer in an advanced "chill-fresh" cooler delivered by Federal-Expressed. The plan sells for $19.95 per day, including shipping and handling.
"I couldn't be more excited and proud of the program that eDiets and I have created," Jillian Michaels said in the press release. "They share my passion to provide people with powerful and cost effective solutions for living a happier healthier life."
Michaels will be launching her meal delivery plan, which will be available in June, at the eDiets Live! event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday, June 7. There, she will give a motivational and introductory speech about the new product, and will talk to guests regarding the benefits of eating healthy. Another guest speaker to attend the event is Dr. Steven Pratt, a world-renowned authority when it comes to nutrition and healthy living and the author of the SuperFoods RX book series.
