The Biggest Loser: Previewing Episode 8.08
Tuesday, November 03, 2009
From this moment onward, the nation's capitol is your ranch.
On The Biggest Loser tonight, the nine remaining contestants head to Washington, D.C. and, well, do a lot of stately working out. There's a lot of touring, a lot of sightseeing, and a lot of people-meeting, including senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Robert Casey, who'll discuss the need for better health and nutrition education in schools, as well as White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford and chef Sam Kass.
Oh, yes, they are headed to the White House, where the contestants pick up veggies from the White House kitchen garden with Kass' help, and then head to the kitchen to create a delicious salad with Comerford's help. Talk about giving you salad the presidential treatment.
But let's put everything in context. This is still The Biggest Loser, and whatever vacation they may take (or whatever comes close to it), there's still a lot of working out to be done. And to boot, the nine contestants are now fighting individually--so last week's face-off round was a good set-up, it seems. Their first challenge: a race around the National Mall, with them trying to recruit as many members of the public as possible to the Washington Monument for what is touted as the biggest work-out in the show's history. That's a lot of shouting for Jillian to do.
That, plus another challenge bringing the contestants to four D.C. icons, and the usual eliminations on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, on The Biggest Loser, tonight from 8pm on NBC.
