On last night's episode of
The Biggest Loser, it came down to the final four contestants:
Heba,
Ed,
Michelle, and
Vicky. After weeks of grueling workouts and exhausting challenges, this weigh-in would determine who would move on to the live finale and compete for the grand prize of $250,000. Host Alison Sweeney revealed a twist, though. The two players to fall below the yellow line would go up against each other for America's vote. Fans can call and go online to vote for their favorite player and the person with the highest number of votes would become the third and final player to move on to the finale. Vicky and Michelle ended up above the yellow line, while husband and wife Heba and Ed were forced to go up against each other in the vote.
Understandably, it is difficult for friends, family, or spouses to go up against each other in a situation like this. However, you have to expect, at least a little bit, that they'll make their case to make it to the finale. Not in this situation. Ed used his time in front of the camera to ask America to vote for his wife instead of him. They must have figured out that she would have a better chance in the weigh-in against Vicky and Michelle while he had a great chance of winning
The Biggest Loser at home, which would earn him a prize of $100,000.
Heba's video though, did not make me want to vote for her. It came across as almost arrogance and it's been hard to root for anybody on the blue team in the last few weeks. Heba feels that she's had to work harder than any other woman this season, because she was the heaviest. While she may have been the heaviest, I think it's safe to say that everybody worked hard to get to this point and certainly, her husband worked just as hard as she did. I can't vote for a player who throws in the towel and I can't vote for a player who talks herself up the entire time. Since the only player I'm rooting for here is Michelle, I opted not to vote. Did you?
