The Biggest Loser: Families - Conference Call with Winner Michelle Aguilar
On last night's live season finale of The Biggest Loser: Families, Michelle Aguilar was crowned the winner.  A member of Jillian's black team, Michelle began this season at 242 pounds and weighed in last night at just 132 pounds.  Dropping 110 pounds gave her a total percentage of weight loss of 45.45% and was enough for her to walk away with the grand prize of $250,000.  Today, Michelle spoke to members of the press in a conference call, where she identified the major difference between her black team and the blue team as well as her future weight loss goals.

On her relationship with Jillian, her trainer...

"Jillian and I are hilarious because she started off telling me, 'Listen I'm not gonna be your friend.  I'm not gonna save you life.  She's as tough as nails.  I kind of don't trust women that easily anyway so I don't need you to be my friend.  As I began to struggle with the emotional side and she began to show herself to be vulnerable and would share her own struggles with me, helped our relationship.  They didn't show it on the show but I was able to look at Jillian and I was like, 'I absolutely 100% trust you with helping me through this process.'"

On the major difference between the blue and black teams...

"The one difference with Jillian is she doesn't, in any way, tell you that she can save you.  I've heard a couple times from Bob that he's saving their lives.  Every black team member knows that they need to find their own strength to do it.  Jillian will do everything to help you physically but you ultimately have to find it in yourself.  You constantly are aware of the fact that you really have to change your life in order for this to stick and the blue team was just under a different plan."

On how it felt to win The Biggest Loser...

"I'll be honest. I was in the dressing room beforehand and on the outside, knowing that I was ready to walk onto a live show, on the inside, mentally, I was absolutely at peace. I was like: Whatever's going to happen tonight is going to happen. I'm ready to show my family, my friends, America this is what I've achieved so far. When I finally did win, it was very surreal."

On how confident she was that she would win...

"I knew that my scale at home told me that I had enough but The Biggest Loser scale isa little bit different and I didn't know how accurate mine would be. I didn't want to count my chickens before they hatch."

On the pressures of being on The Biggest Loser...

"Dealing with initial weight loss is difficult. To do that alongside of dealing with your emotions, I don't know what got into me, thinking I could do all of this on the show. Midway through the show, it all began to be too much for me. Ultimately, because I went through those struggles, and because I was able to make the decision to stay, that's what helped propel me through the next several weeks until I needed to be there on my own."

On being mentally tough to keep losing weight at home...

"At one point, I realized that this competition, this part of it, isn't as much physical as it is mental. I obviously knew I was strong and I had proved a lot to myself mentally. It was whether I thought I was strong enough."

On continuing to lose weight in the future...

"Right now, I'd like to maintain where I'm at but I'd like to get stronger. I think my body right now is in really good shape. I'd like to tone out. As a girl, everything kind of jiggles a bit and you want it to be a little firmer."
