The Biggest Loser: Episode 6.8 Recap

On tonight's episode of The Biggest Loser, Bob confronts Vicky and Brady over his 3 pound weight loss last week.  Bob felt like it was intentional in order to get Amy P. out of the house.  Vicky promises that she would never do that but in his interview, Bob calls her the biggest gameplayer who ever walked into the house.  Brady comes clean with Bob and says that he hasn't been eating ever 4 hours like he is supposed to.  At today's first challenge, the contestants were visited by Dave Zinczenko, the author of "Eat This Not That" an editor-in-chief of Men's Health magazine.  The teams are shown two different foods at a time and must pick the healthier one.  The winning team will receive a 40 pound advantage in the next challenge.  No one knows what that means, but it seems worth playing for!  Thanks to the food knowledge instilled in them by Bob, the blue team pulls off a victory

After the challenge, and at dinner that night, Heba confronts Phil, saying that he continuously talks about her.  Many of the black team members found their opponent's behavior tacky and rude, especially while they were trying to relax and eat dinner.  Phil headed upstairs to be alone but his teammates went to him and offered their support.

The players put their differences aside and headed to their next challenge.  Teams will be up in the air, grabbing onto a rope which is connected to a weight, equal to their own.  When the entire team lets go, they're out.  The black team will have to carry an additional 40 pounds because the blue team won the earlier challenge.  The winning team can choose any player from the opposite team and make their weight not count at this week's weigh-in.  Every member of the black team lets go except for Renee, who holds 918 pounds all alone against the blue team.  It became too much for her and the blue team wins another challenge!

Heading into the weigh-in, the black team is now as a huge disadvantage.  They'll have to pit 3 team members against 4 since one member's weight won't count.  After an intense last chance workout, the teams head to tonight's weigh-in.  The blue team decides that Michelle's weight will not count tonight.  The black team heads to the scale first and here are their numbers:
  • Michelle: 2 pound loss
  • Renee: 3 pound loss
  • Coleen: 2 pound loss
  • Phil: 3 pound loss
The black team only lost 8 pounds, since Michelle's doesn't count.  Their total percentage of weight loss was only 1.18%.  The blue team needs to lose more than 11 pounds to win this week's weigh-in.  Here are their numbers:
  • Brady: 13 pound loss
  • Vicky: 2 pound loss
  • Heba: 6 pound loss
  • Amy: 6 pound loss.
Brady singlehandedly beat the black team, a first for anyone on The Biggest Loser.  Overall, the blue team finishes with a total weight loss of 27 pounds, which is 2.90%.  At the elimination, Phil is eliminated and heads home just one week after his wife Amy was sent home.  He has lost 106 pounds since he started on the show.
