On tonight's episode of
The Biggest Loser, the purple team confronts the other teams after being called "lazy" in the elimination room.
Maggie and Jenn start to worry that they're in an alliance with the wrong team after
Paul and Kelly criticized them in front of America. Bob gets tough with the purple team, telling them to stop worrying what other people think and just worry about themselves.
The contestants are still reeling from last week's news that they no longer will be up for elimination as a team, but as individuals. They will weigh in as a team but if they fall below the yellow line, only one of them will go home.
Jillian spends time with
Brittany, trying to get to know her better and why she is on the show. Brittany suffered a great loss, losing the only father she knew at a young age. She comforted herself with food, rather than deal with her feelings. All of that is about to change.
First, there's a challenge to deal with. Tonight, the contestants will have to climb an escalator 10 times in order to win. Whoever does win will get to choose teams and the game has now gone back to being black vs. blue. Only two people are allowed to compete while everyone else puts their fate in their hands. Bob and Jillian become the competitors, meaning everyone else will watch the trainers race. It's a match we've all been dying to see! Bob laps Jillian and wins the power to choose which teams he wants to train.
Bob chooses the orange team first, a move
Dan and Jackie were very happy about. As Bob makes his choices, Jillian is brought to tears. The black team is picked up next by Bob, followed by the grey team. That leaves blue, purple, and yellow to work with Jillian. As soon as the new teams are formed, Alison announces that another challenge will be taking place right then and there. Contestants will have to do their best to climb stairs on the escalator for as long as possible. One by one, the black team members head to the bottom, leaving Brittany alone to take down the blue team. Eventually, she can't fight anymore, giving the win to the blue team.
For their temptation challenge, players will have to drink soda and find a cup with a star on it. If they find the right one, they can take the weight of an opposing team member and have it not count at the next weigh in. The blue team decides to hang back and see what the black team does and when it's time to go, every contestant stands still. No one participates in the temptation and their trainers will be very happy to hear that!
After a brutal last chance workout, here are the numbers from tonight's weigh in. The blue team kicked things off:
- Jay: 5 pound loss
- Mark: 5 pound loss
- Trent: 9 pound loss
- Roger: 10 pound loss
- Jackie: 8 pound loss
- Dan: 13 pound loss
The blue team finishes with a 50 pound loss, which is 3% of their total weight. The black team will have to lose more than 41 pounds to stay safe:
- Jenn: 6 pound loss
- Maggie: 7 pound loss
- Bernie: 5 pound loss
- Brittany: 2 pound loss
- Kelly: 0 pound loss
- Paul: 3 pound gain
The contestants are shocked to see such terrible numbers put up by the blue team, particularly by Paul and Kelly. Dan is the
Biggest Loser of the week, for his 13 pound loss. In the elimination room, the black team will have to vote someone out. They ultimately choose to send Jenn, formerly of the purple team, home. Since leaving the show, she has lost a total of 53 pounds. Tomorrow, we'll talk to Jenn about her time on
The Biggest Loser. Don't miss it!
