Teamwork is Tested with a 'Biggest Loser' Shoot-Out
Alison warns the teams that one person's weight will count for each team and it's up to the opposite team to decide whose weight will count. And they won't know whose weight will count until the weigh-in. Alison communicated this to the teams very slowly, either to emphasize the importance of this week, or because she took a large quantity of downers before the elimination vote. Everyone is shocked, and ready to take a nap.

Early the next morning, Jesse and Jessica wake up to hit the gym. Jillian runs the black team into the ground, but focuses her displaced anger toward Elizabeth. Anna is also nervous, because she's still new. Rather than condemning disco again, Jillian's T-shirt has a positivie message today (Stand Up to Cancer). Frado is still a thorn in Jillian's side, and all his yelling doesn't help him stay on the treadmill at a high speed. Frado swears and goes for a pout in the fields.

The blue team, on the other hand, is much more unified. It's that Bob Zen they all get. After blowing off some steam, Frado apologizes to Jillian and they have a talk about working out instead of focusing so heavy on manipulation. Jillian Michaels always gets her breakthrough!

Taste Tests and Sexy Chefs
The teams head to the Four Seasons to meet up with celebrity chefs Curtis Stone and Lorena Garcia. Curtis Stone just can't stay off of The Biggest Loser can he? Anyway, the chefs are going to teach three members from each team how to cook (and the celebrity chefs are not allowed to touch the food). The remaining team members will judge the food without knowing who prepared it. They're playing for a mysterious "ten seconds" that will no doubt affect the coming challenge. The celebri-chefs both have accents that make this "no touching" rule even more challenging.

The food looks . . . healthy. Frado immediately comes up with a strategy; he figures that two out of the three people from his team can't cook so he is going to vote for the appetizer he likes the least. There's strategy and then there's over-thinking and this is verging on A Beautiful Mind. Sadly, there was no karmic retribution, as Frado guessed correctly that the nasty shrimp ceviche was his team's dish. In the end, the teams tie and no one was more excited about it than Chef Lorena Garcia. The teams will have to guess how many calories are in the desserts. The blue team is able to think about it but the black team argues and Frado walks away from Brendan and Ada. Why?? The blue team guesses within 9 calories and wins the precious ten seconds.

Dragon Boat Z
It looks like the teams will send Jessica and Elizabeth up for the shoot-out weigh-in. So the teams arrive at two dragon boats and Alison explains that the team that wins the challenge has the option to block the other team's first pick at the weigh-in. On with the dragon boat racing! I don't see this going well for the black team, although their competitive drive could kick in and overcome the bickering. The blue team gets a ten-second head start and wastes most of it figuring out how to paddle. Things start out well for the black team, but they start veering left and the team begins its slow disintegration. With an expert turn, the black team pulls back ahead and soon it's "anyone's race."

The blue team wins and pisses off Brendan with their exuberant celebrating. Jillian meets with the black team to have a good talk. Basically, Anna's fate is in Elizabeth's hands, because Elizabeth hasn't been dropping the best numbers but she's protected by the Brendan/Frado mafia. It's time for the Jillian Breakthrough count to move up to 2 this week as Elizabeth stops running on the treadmill to crumble into tears. Meanwhile the blue team is bringing the heat in the gym.

Who Will it Be?
So the blue team picks Elizabeth and the black team chooses Jessica. To make a statement, the blue team decides to stick with Jessica as their representative. First the black team weighs in and Anna only lost three pounds. A collective "yikes" was thought throughout the room. Then Ada only lost four and Bob whispers to Jesse, "Elizabeth is the obvious choice." Listen to Bob! He knows Jillian's tricks!  Next Brendan lost 11 pounds after last week's devastating 2. Patrick lost 9 pounds and Frado lost 14. Having broken 300, Frado starts to cry and Jillian silently congratulates herself.

Now all the pressure is on Elizabeth. She lost five pounds and with that, the pressure shifts to Jessica. Jesse, the black team's second pick, weighs in first and lost 9 pounds. Mark lost a jaw-dropping 16 pounds. Adam lost 13 and I'm starting to think blue could win the weigh-in this week. Lisa lost 8 pounds and Aaron lost 9. Aaron wouldn't have beaten Elizabeth (because it's about percentages and even with 9 pounds lost, he's still a big guy). It all comes down to Jessica. She needs to have lost more than five pounds and she only lost 4. What a bummer. They rolled the dice and lost.

Elimination
Now anyone can go home except Mark. Mark votes for Adam (that target grew every week, didn't it?), Adam votes for Jessica, Lisa votes for Jessica. Jessica uses the popular "most-ready-to-go-home" argument and votes for Adam. Jesse votes for Adam, and Aaron votes for Jessica. So it's a tie (and Alison is back on her downers). Now the black team gets to vote off a member of the blue team (ANY member except Mark. This is huge!). Now they all have an opportunity to cry in front of the black team to convince them to be merciful. Jigsaw Frado is probably getting a kick out of this, especially because it means Adam could go home and take that increasing-pound advantage with him. Will the black team play it fair or play it smart?

The black team plays it smart and sends Adam home. So the blue team made a blooper and had to pay for it. But Adam leaves the ranch with his integrity in tact, and he looks great on the "Where Are They Now" segment. Go Adam!
