Thirty-nine year old Trent Patterson from Endicott, New York is a lovable guy armed with a great smile. He is a fierce co-competitor who is very supportive of his teammates, and is very passionate about his family. He vows to lose weight not only for his family, but also to serve as a role model for his students. A former Alabama University lineman, Trent teamed up with his co-player Roger to shed some pounds. In fact, the two have been friends for years and they now see The Biggest Loser as a reminiscent challenge of the football training they had years ago.

Trent teams up with former football teammate Roger in a mission to shed pounds on NBC's The Biggest Loser 5, where they comprise the Grey Team. Trent initially weighed in at 436 lbs. He was eliminated on week 7.
