Hollie Self appears as a contestant in the fourth season of the NBC reality television series The Biggest Loser. She is 28 years old and hails from Phoenix, Arizona. She works as an English teacher, as well as a full-time cheerleading coach for a local high school. She is deeply passionate and fond of cheerleading, yet due to her obesity and weight issues, she believes that she’s not setting the proper example for her younger students. With this goal in mind, she intends to slim down and become more proactive in teaching again, becoming involved in the exercises and intense performance acrobatics that top-of-the-line cheerleading demands.
During her time on The Biggest Loser, Hollie, who stands at 5'7", went from weighing 255 pounds down to 150 pounds, losing a total of 105 pounds, equal to 41.18% of her original body weight. Hollie finished as second runner-up on the live finale.
