On last night's Did They Lose The Weight special, contestants from previous seasons of
The Biggest Loser returned to step on the scale and show how much weight they've lost. There were many surprising weight loss stories but the biggest surprise came when
Marty Wolff proposed to
Amy Hildreth in front of a live studio audience.
Marty and Amy met while filming the third season of
The Biggest Loser. During that season, contestants from every state were given the chance to get in the house and work with the trainers. Amy from Maryland and Marty from Missouri were both chosen and placed on Bob Harper's blue team. Between the two of them, they lost 252 pounds during their time on the show but, even bigger than that, these two ended up falling in love.
Once the show was over, the two remained friends and worked together. They both became certified from the American Council on Exercise and together, founded a weight-loss coaching business called Reality Wellness, Inc. There, they help others who were just like them lose weight in a variety of methods. They run fitness programs, participate in various motivational speaking engagements, and even life coach both in person and online. Marty and Amy have worked hard to help pass on the knowledge they learned during their time on
The Biggest Loser.
Things changed when the pair fell in love last December. Hildreth and Wolff packed up their belongings and bought a house together in Omaha, NE. On last night's show, Wolff decided to take their relationship to the next level. When Amy was brought out to do her weigh-in for the audience, instead of a number showing up, the giant scale read, "Amy, I love you". The next thing she knew, Marty was standing beside her, reading a letter he had written to express how he felt. He got down on one knee and she let out a resounding, "Yes!" barely before he could finish the question.
"The ring is absolutely beautiful and exactly what I would have picked out myself," Hildreth told BuddyTV today. "His proposal definitely brought tears to my eyes and I just tried to stay in the moment with him and not worry about the cameras and audience. It was truly a magical moment that will stay in my heart forever!"
This marks the second successful relationship for
The Biggest Loser. Season two winner and runner-up Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston fell in love shortly after their time on the show. They were married in 2006 and recently had a baby together. The newest addition to the family, Rex Timothy Hoover, was introduced to the world on last night's special.
