A Heartwarming Makeover Week on 'The Biggest Loser'
A Heartwarming Makeover Week on 'The Biggest Loser'

It's Makeover Week! I want to shout it from the mountaintops. All of them. The women are excited to get their hair styled by Ken Paves, the men are excited to get a shave. Mark is excited because Makeover Week is a big milestone on The Biggest Loser. But who doesn't love a makeover?!

Lisa lost two pounds just out of excitement--they're going to be in People Magazine! Elizabeth's makeover looks really good, and so does Ada's. And look at Frado! After their photo shoot, the Biggest Loser contestants will "stomp" down the runway (Ken Paves' words, not mine). By the way, I'm loving what Alison's wearing for the fashion show. Also, we got to see Shanna, who introduced the "warriors in pink" clothing line to help support breast cancer. Does it include those amazing hats we saw Elizabeth and Ada wearing in the interviews?

Why is TBL acting like we haven't seen what they look like post-makeover yet? We just saw them posing for People. But I guess we get the before and after on the runway. And this year there's formal wear! Mark kind of reminds me of Michael, last season's winner; just makeover-wise. Frado looks so different! I'm obsessed with Ada's formal outfit. Not a big fan of Brendan's bubblegum pink tuxedo vest and bowtie, though.
Did you cry when they saw their families? I almost did. Patrick's little boys are so cute! And I loved when Ada's friend said, "you can fit into boots now, can't you?" And check out Frado's hot wife! Is he in the mob?

The Challenge
I wish everyone could win! But they can't, so let's get back to the gym. Shake off the glitter, the party's over! The contestants arrive for a challenge: climbing the stairs or taking the "Angel Flight" train. The climb is 300 feet up, if you take the stairs it's 5 points and the train is 1 point. The first person to 100 points wins A NEW CAR. I'd like to think that Oprah would like this episode.

All of the contestants start out on the stairs, and Patrick sees Brendan and Ada as the biggest competition. I have a feeling Elizabeth is going to go for the train after a while. She does! Lisa compares it, appropriately, to cancer, "people with cancer don't get to take the train, there is no easy way out."
As Ada racks up 50 points, Elizabeth gets to 15 points on the train, then heads back toward the stairs. Everyone is in pretty rough shape at this point (an hour in! Geez!). Ada is dominating as usual; I wonder if this means people will see her as a threat and vote her off this week. I hope not, I want her to win.

It comes down to Ada and Brendan at 95 points, and they stop at the top of the stairs. Ada says, "it comes down to putting the car in the right person's hands." That's huge! They wait for Patrick and follow him down to his car. I think I'm going to cry again because Patrick's kids are so cute! My heart is all warm for Thanksgiving week.

Everyone finishes with 100 points (except Elizabeth?) and Patrick gets his new car all sweaty. Elizabeth gives up at 70 points.

Last Chance Workout and Feelings. Lots of Feelings
Brendan talks to Ada about her family, who didn't show up for the makeover reveal either. She's okay with it, but might not be ready to face them back at home yet. The next morning with Bob and Jillian, Elizabeth admits that she's mad at herself for not finishing the challenge. It's about the small victories, Elizabeth. She gets set up on a stair-climber in the gym to finish her challenge.

Brendan is creepy both in the gym and out, saying his name through clenched teeth in Bob's call-and-answer game, and saying that he's setting the contestants up like chess pieces in an interview. Brendan, you look like an egg.

Frado is nervous about the weigh-in, and chews a piece of Extra Dessert Delights to calm his nerves. Team Mafia discusses their strategy and agrees they're in a good place. Unless somehow two of them are below the yellow line. But that won't happen, because Elizabeth and Lisa are still here.

The Weigh-In
Alison is a stone cold bummer at the weigh-in, telling them that the more they primp, the less time they have to work out. Blame Ken Paves!
Patrick lost 10 pounds, take that, Alison! Elizabeth lost 5 pounds (last week's weight loss minus one pound of hair). Brendan lost 7 pounds, Ada lost 5. Mark, who knows he can't have an off-week, lost 10 pounds and is relieved. *GASP* Lisa didn't lose any weight. She's devastated. I'm devastated, too, because it puts Brendan above the yellow line for sure. Frado is last to weigh in and is confident he won't be going home. That is some real talk.
Frado lost 4 pounds. Not great. How is it possible that Elizabeth is above the yellow line? Even with a four pound weight loss, Frado is feeling pretty good.

I'm not sure who's going home tonight. Frado's the bigger threat, but Lisa's the obvious choice. Before the vote, Frado and Lisa make their final pleas. Everyone is feeling warm and fuzzy, so they agree not to have any hard feelings. Lisa knows she's going home.

I'm kind of surprised Elizabeth voted for Lisa, I thought they were BFFs? Maybe she's just getting used to the whole "being above the yellow line" thing.

So Lisa goes home. It's okay. She looks great and she got to be in People Magazine!

Tomorrow night there's a Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now? special! I love it! Remember Sam and Stephanie? He finally proposed, check it out!
