On tonight's The Big Bang Theory season finale, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is understandably conflicted when Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and his friends decide to spend the summer working - at the North Pole.

This, of course, follows what happened in the last episode of the geeky CBS comedy when Leonard found out that Penny said his name while making out with Stuart, his friend from the comic book store, whom she went out on date with.  Leonard gave Stuart advice on dating Penny, telling him to take it slow, act distant, and maybe throw in a little fear.  It all worked apparently, and when the two were on his car making out, everything was fine until she blurted out Leonard's name in the middle of the tryst.

Elsewhere on that episode, Howard (Simon Helberg) had a problem when he realized his space toilet on a recent mission to the international space station had a "teeny tiny error" after around 10 flushes and would cause the waste inside instead of out into space.  He asked Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) for help, and the ensuing work involved Howard's mom's meat loaf, Russian diet, and toilet humor jokes.  On the episode's last scene, the astronauts informed base that they all needed to take space walks.

The Big Bang Theory's sophomore season saw an improvement in the ratings, with the average going up from 8.31 mil in the debut run to 10.25 in the second.  The show was recently picked up for a third and fourth season by CBS.

Catch the season finale of The Big Bang Theory - "The Monopolar Expedition" - tonight 8pm ET/PT on CBS.
