Fans of The Big Bang Theory have another reason to celebrate aside from the fact the series scored its best ratings ever earlier this month.  Summer Glau, who currently stars as the sexy Cameron Phillips on the FOX science fiction series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, will soon be rubbing elbows with our nerdy friends at CBS' The Big Bang Theory.

This may seem like an odd traverse given that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles airs on FOX while The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS.  On the other hand, both shows are produced by Warner Bros and thus, the cheeky crossover came about.

On Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Glau plays a Terminator infiltration unit sent back to protect John Connor (Thomas Dekker) and Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) from Skynet.  For her portrayal of the said character, she received the Best Supporting Television Actress award at the 34th Saturn Awards, and was nominated for the Spike TV Scream Awards in the category Best Actress in a Science Fiction Movie or TV Show for the same role.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the Terminator star will play herself in the March 9 episode of The Big Bang Theory in which a train trip to San Francisco takes a major detour when Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) find out that their favorite science fiction actress in the world is on board.  However, the fan craze immediately gives way to a heated discussion when they realize that one of them will have to approach her.

In the mean time, fans can catch the second season of The Big Bang Theory every Monday at 8pm on CBS, as well as the sophomore season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, airing every Friday at 8pm on FOX.
