The N Network Cancels 'The Best Years' Jennifer Miller is a film and television actress who has worked on a number of productions. Among the shows she’s worked on are Radio Free Roscoe, Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, Naturally, Sadie, Instant Star, and Beautiful People. Kathryn Klarner is portrayed by Jennifer Miller in the television teen drama series The Best Years. A blonde and perky Midwestern girl, she comes from a farming community in Minnesota, though she was born into a rich and powerful family. Pretty and sporting a superiority complex, she was taught the power of ‘marrying-up’ by her mother, in order to rise up in stature and wealth. Because of her parents’ vast and ostensibly generous endowment of money, she is able to attend Charles University, where she focuses on her social life rather than her studies. Kathryn’s plan in school is simply to make one of the blue-blooded males fall in love with her and be wed into luxury, though she finds a foil in Samantha, learning from the orphan that not everyone can be bought so easily.
