The Bachelorette: DeAnna Pappas Explains Herself (Sort Of)
This season of The Bachelorette has certainly been unpredictable to say the least. The viewers felt for sure that DeAnna Pappas would take Jeremy Anderson and Graham Bunn all the way to the finale but she eliminated them back to back in the last two episodes. She sent Graham home because she felt that he didn’t open up enough to her and she got rid of Jeremy for being “too perfect”. It’s safe to say that many people have wondered what she’s been thinking and this week, she spoke to reporters in a press conference call and explained herself.

DeAnna first addressed her infamous meltdown at the party at the guest house midway through the season. She said that being The Bachelorette took some getting used to, especially since it was very different than her time on The Bachelor. "When I was on the show and we were with Brad and he walked into a room we were goo-goo, gah-gah over him,” she told reporters yesterday. “With the guys, they're so buddy-buddy, you go down to the house for a barbecue and they don't care. They're just guys, they can't help it."

Though getting rid of Jeremy and Graham may have been a shock to America, DeAnna felt that she was doing exactly what her heart was telling her. She says that she tried all season to be as open and honest as possible and to send people home the minute she felt that their relationship was over.

With Jeremy, being perfect was just too much for her to handle. "He's the perfect man -- I mean you heard me say it all season long," she said. "He's perfect, and I'm scared to death of perfect. I've never had that in my life." She also said that he would make the perfect Bachelor for ABC but wasn’t sure that he was exactly hurting for a date. “He has a wonderful outlook on life and love, he comes from an amazing family, has a great career ahead of him,” she said. “If he wanted to be the next Bachelor, I would totally support him.

If anyone was hoping for more details on what Graham put into his letter to DeAnna, they’ll find no such luck here. First, Graham was vague about it on “The Men Tell All” and DeAnna didn’t offer up any details either. "It was just a really nice note," said Pappas said. "It was just Graham telling me his feelings for me and just expressing that he felt very lucky to have met me and I would always hold a special place in his heart and he was hoping that we could always be friends."

DeAnna is left with two men, Jesse and Jason – two extremely different men. This coming Monday, she’ll make her final decision as both men express their love for her and get down on one knee. She’ll make one man her fiancé but break another man’s heart.
