The Bachelorette

Last night, on The Bachelorette's "After The Final Rose" special, DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak went public for the first time.  The couple have had to hide their relationship from the public for two months and were thrilled to finally tell their loved ones (and America) how happy they were together.  During their interview with host Chris Harrison, the two couldn't keep their hands off each other.  Harrison even joked at one point that he was going to hose them down.  For many Bachelorette fans, DeAnna's engagement to Jesse came as a shock, with most feeling that Jason was a much better match for her.  Today, DeAnna and Jesse faced the media in a press conference call and dished on everything from their wedding to what they love most about each other.

On last night's season finale of The Bachelorette, Jesse got down on one knee and presented DeAnna with a 2.3 carat Tacori platinum and diamond ring.  The couple announced their wedding date on the special afterwards, setting aside May 9th, 2009 for their special day.  “We picked that date because it’s the day that we got engaged,” DeAnna told reporters. They've also chosen the Bahamas as the location for the wedding, as it holds a special place in both their hearts.  DeAnna Pappas said that, in less than a year, she'll become DeAnna Csincsak.  "I’m still working on the spelling of it," she joked. "But I’m definitely taking his last name.”

DeAnna and Jesse were not allowed to say exactly how they were able to stay in touch while the show aired but she did give away a few details saying, “We’re not allowed to go out into the public. When we do see each other, it’s hanging out where no one can find us."  She told reporters that she was thrilled to have a man that she could finally depend on.  “She always puts a smile on my face," Jesse said of his favorite thing about his fiance.  "I’m always happy with her."

As for watching the episodes back and watching DeAnna's relationships with other men unfold, Jesse said that he tries not to think about it.  “Watching it was definitely tough but I’m only worried about the day that that ring went on forward. I don’t want to know anything about her and the other guys. I just want to focus on our relationship and our marriage," he said.
