This always seems to be the case every season. But from what Reality Steve is reporting, the arrival of this particular contestant doesn't have anything to do with helping Ali in her choices during the first night's meet and greet. Got someone in mind? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
Photos: First Look At Ali on The BachelorettePretty Crazy Scandal
Reality TV feels almost incomplete without scandals because, more often than not, there's at least one in every season of The Bachelor/Bachelorette
franchise. This season, however, the scandal isn't manufactured by the crew-- at least that's what Reality Steve is saying. The context is pretty similar from previous seasons but the way it plays out is something that hasn't happened before on the history of the show. In a nutshell: one of contestants has a girlfriend back home and the girlfriend somehow gets a hold of Ali's number and calls her to warn her about her about her boyfriend who is on the show to promote his career--conveniently while the cameras are rolling. Recently, it has been revealed that the phone call happens in Turkey, which probably means it involves one of the final five men (see Elimination Process below

Around the World Theme
Evidently, The Bachelorette
has already filmed in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Iceland, Turkey and Portugal. While it was previously rumored that the overnight dates will take place in Iceland, recent updates suggest that it's going to be in Tahiti. What's Coming Up This Season on The BacheloretteThe Elimination Process
As mentioned in the press release, Ali will eliminate eight of the 25 men on the first night, leaving 17 hopefuls in the running. But Reality Steve
has narrowed down the competition even more by revealing the elimination process: From the 17 contestants, three will be sent home, leaving 14 contestants competing for Ali's heart. Then it's down to 11 contestants before they fly to New York where two of them will be eliminated. During the trip to Iceland, the cast goes from nine to seven, and then down to five as they head to Turkey. Then it's down to the final four contestants as they travel to Portugal, where one contestant will be eliminated and three will go on for the hometown dates.
This season, the competition for Ali's heart gets a little bit confusing since there are several contestants with similar names. According to Reality Steve, there's going to be two people named Chris, a Ty and two Tylers, two Craigs, a John and a Jonathon. (Image courtesy of ABC)
