The Bachelorette: Jake as the Next Bachelor?

Jillian Harris has made yet another shockingly poor decision when she sent home Jake, Robby and Tanner P. (well, not so much) last night on The Bachelorette. If you missed the episode, you can read a recap in this article.  Among the axed bachelors, however, Jake arguably stands out as the best catch. He's a pilot, he's sweet, he's smart and he's good looking ---he's the ideal guy and Jillian seems to be aware of it. The only problem is that Jillian can't handle perfection.

Looking back at Jake's time on The Bachelorette, it's obvious that, while there's chemistry between Jake and Jillian, she was never really quite herself when she was around him compared when she's with the other bachelors. Perhaps Jake's just a little too intense for Jillian, who "just felt like it wasn't right." Or maybe Jillian was just bored to death and would prefer bad boys like Wes? That actually explains a lot because now, she's left with five men ---majority of which can't even measure up to Jake.

If Jake is such a good catch (at least that's what The Bachelorette wants us to think), then I wouldn't be surprised if he gets an offer to become the next Bachelor. After all, he's already attracted tons of fans, especially after his heart got broken by Jillian. Now, there's no official word yet on who will be the next Bachelor and this is just pure speculation, but last night's episode (especially the voiceover where he says that he wants to marry Jillian) really got me thinking, not to mention the sudden surge of comments from fans that Jake should be the next Bachelor.

Regardless of whether Jake turns out to be the next Bachelor, fans have not seen the last of Jake. In fact, he's returning next week to confront Wes about his alleged girlfriend so that should be really interesting to watch!
