Season 9 of The Bachelorette
has just begun and already there is plenty of romance with a hint of drama to keep the audience captivated.
During episode 4, airing tonight, Desiree Hartsock and her 13 bachelors take to the skies for a series of dates taking place in Atlantic City. They say that traveling is the best way to truly get to know a person, and Des learns some good things and some bad things about her men this week while staying in the seaside town. The Bachelorette Deleted Scenes: Two Awkward Kisses and One Bachelorette >>>
Desiree goes on a one-on-one with Brad McKinzie and gets to see a softer side to the single dad. The two take a romantic stroll down the boardwalk to the Steel Pier amusement park, and then take a tour of a saltwater taffy factory. Yum! Things get a bit rocky when Brad receives an unexpected call from his ex concerning their child.
Des also goes on a date with James Case, but instead of having a romantic candle-lit dinner, they tour the storm-torn neighborhood of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. It is here where Des and James meet a couple, Manny and Jan, who survived Sandy but lost everything in the hurricane and, as a result, were unable to celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary. Des and James let the couple take their date and instead grab a piece of pizza, making them the most philanthropic couple of the season so far. James reveals a big secret to Des, but is it too much? Will he still get a rose?
The other 11 men get to hang out with Des during a group date, which just so happens to be The Bachelorette
's Mr. America competition. The guys have to display a talent, strut around the stage in a bathing suit and be interviewed, all in front of a live audience! The pressure is definitely on. Who will perform and who will break under it?
As always, Ben Scott causes unrest between the men by flaunting his connection with Des in front of the others, but their connection must be short-lived because during an interview with Katie Couric, Des forgets Ben's name! Check out a preview below:
